WHAT IS BROADCASTING

It is the transmission of signals

through the modulation of
electromagnetic waves.
As a means of communication,
requires a specific transmission form
Physical media
broadcasting
Ranges of frequencies used in radio.
VHF
Frecuencia muy alta (VHF)
Ciclos por segundo: 30 MHz a 300 MHz
Longitud de onda: 10 m a 1 m

VHF is commonly used for transmission of FM radio and television broadcasts.

Also it is generally used for terrestrial navigation and radio amadorismo
systems.
SHF

The súper-alta frequency (SHF) is a band radio

frequency (RF) band in the range 3-30 GHz SHF
and EHF are known as microwave bands and
their wavelengths are short enough to be
reproduced by directional antennas signup and
wave guides.
AM y FM

Am: moderate extent FM: moderate frequency

the difference between the modulated amplitude and frequency
modulation.
Frequency radiated
television

Satellite TV is a method to make

bounce in a communications
satellite signal emitted from a
point on the Earth, so that it can
reach other parts of the planet TV

the audience
CATV
DEFINICION DE CATV

• CATV (Community Antenna Television - cable

television) ). Service which offers television to
subscribing homes image transfer leverages TV
networks by fiber-optic or coaxial cable into a
digital or analog line.

Frequently in television cable

is a system of television services provided to consumers

CABLE MODEM AND HOW IT
WORKS

A cable modem is a
special type of modem
designed for modular
data on infrastructure TV
signal cable
CABLE MODEM AND ITS
FUNCTIONS
The features that you can modify the carrier
signal are:

•Amplitude giving rise to a modulation

amplitude (AM/ASK).

•Frequency resulting in a frequency

(FM/FSK) modulation.

•(Phase leading to a phase PM/PSK

modulation)

other parameters .
OPTICAL FIBER

•They are also used for

local networks. Optical
fiber consists of a core
of fiber glass or plastic,
A deck and a protective
layer .

•Tube Holgado isolates external mechanical forces

engaged on cable fiber.
