Project Chapleau is a $12M – 2 year CEO-sponsored joint initiative between Bell and Nortel to evaluate the impact of technology introduction in a rural and
remote Canadian community. With particular focus on social and economic change, the project includes wireless network technologies and applications in
municipal, health, education, economic development, and tourism sectors.
• Developed the program vision, direction and objectives, as the overall technology and applications lead.
• Led a diverse cross-functional team of as much as 80 people to deliver a complete end-to-end service
implementation, from network design and implementation to customer fulfillment and support processes
• Motivated and led a direct team of 10 people; managed performance, initiative, work ethic, and career development
of this highly ambitious group
• Trialed innovative technologies and application services in the field, including Wireless Mesh, providing
recommendations to various business units on technical and market suitability
• Created the Chapleau Innovation Centre, a regional centre dedicated to local technology training and skills
