owned, by the late Edward W. Perrine
of Holm del was auctioned off Tuesday
offer a sale for the next

afternoon. The total receipts of the
sale were about $2,700. One hundred
and.eighty articles were sold under thu
hammer. The sale took place under* a
large tent on the hotel property and was
attended by about 200 persons, many, of
•whom were wealthy residents of Mon-
mouth County looking for rare old
pieces of furniture to adorn their homes.
There was also quite a sprinkling of buy-
ers froiii outside of the county, partic-
ularly from Perth Amboy. Dealers in
second-hand furniture were ;vcil repre-
