Robert Geoffrey Edwards was born on the 27 September 1925 in
th

Manchester, now he´s 85 years old. He is 1,65 more or less, he has got
brown eyes and white hair, he uses glasses like a lot of scientist. In 1960
Robert started to study human fertilization with Patrick Steptoe. Edwards
and Steptoe founded the Bourn Hall Clinic, a place to advance their work
and train new specialist. Steptoe died in 1988. Edwards continued a career
as a scientist and an editor of medical journals. He has won a lot of prizes
but his most important prize is the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine,
prize that he has won in 2010. He likes biology and medicine and he works
very hard. He married Ruth Fowler, physicist Ernest Rutherford´s
granddaughter and physicist Ralph Fowler´s daughter.
