Political Geographers are interested in

how power relations build spaces and
places and how, in turn, spaces and
places mediate politics and conflict.

 Geopolitical Codes
Operational codes consisting of a set of
political geography assupsion’s that
underlie a country’s foreign policy.
Such code will have to in corperate a
definition of state’s interests, an
identification of external to those
threats, a planned respons to such threats
and justification for that response.
 3 Level Geopolitical Codes
1. Local
2. Regional
3. Global
 Setiap negara memiliki pemahaman yang
unik.
 Perlu memperhatikan code yang
dikembangkan oleh negara lain.
 Negara besar akan mendominasi
pembentukan codes.
 Disebut: geopolitical world order
