Definitions of “Geopolitics”:

1) “Geopolitics is the study of the influence of geographical space on states and their politics";. It is
often identified with political geography, which has a broader content

Definitions of “Geoeconomy”:

1) that geoeconomics, defined as the geostrategic use of economic power, has become an
increasingly important feature of regional powers’ strategic behavior. Yet, we still lack analytical
tools to identify and compare regional powers’ geoeconomic strategies.

2) that geoeconomics, as a foreign policy strategy, refers to the application of economic means of
power by states so as to realize strategic objectives. As an analytical framework, geoeconomics
relates to international relations realismo.
