International Organizations in Latin America

According to the survey conducted by opinion leaders in the region by Ipsos Public Affairs
UNICEF and the IDB are the international organizations with the most positive impact in the
region. UNICEF is particularly prominent in Mexico and Argentina; and the IDB in Peru and
Colombia. Other well-evaluated organizations are the UN, especially in Colombia and Central
America; the CAF in Bolivia; and the Pacific Alliance in the four countries that make up the
Alliance: Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. On the other point, international organizations also
have a negative impact on Latin America, such as The Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA)
is the only organization that, according to this report, initially ranked the impact of the
organizations evaluated in the Latin American countries that were part of the research. Then, a
section with impact data disaggregated by country.
