Work Experience
Mechanical Installation Engineer/Welder Supervisory and ‘hands on’ role- MJD
Engineering LTD
(April 2003 - Present)

Current duties involve the full installation of pipe work to Form/Fill/Seal pharmaceutical
production machines producing aseptic products for the medical industry. Duties also include the
supervision of junior members of staff and ensuring that my team reaches deadlines set and
that the Quality Assurance specification are met by my team.

The work is based around Pharmaceutical sites in the North West of England, I have worked on
contracts at large Plants over the years and more recently a large project at TEVA
Pharmaceuticals (formerly IVAX).

Work involves primarily the design and installation of (fabrication and welding) Process pipe work
to the Form/Fill/Seal production machines
using BPE electro-polished stainless steel and running various utilities to the clean rooms such
as Pure air, water and clean steam. Most pipe work is welded using an Orbital Welding
Machine as per specification along with the mechanical installation of control valves and pumps.
I work as part of a small team and as an individual with responsibility falling to me to ensure
my work is produced to meet strict deadlines and more importantly to ensure that the quality
of the work meets the strict inspection standards of the industry including the production of
necessary documentation for quality purposes (weld logs etc)

I served my apprenticeship with this company and now have 7 years engineering
experience working in a challenging and demanding industry.
