There's no question that social media is changing the education environment! What are the
latest developments in privacy law related to social media? How should school boards handle
incidents of cyber-bullying between students or cyber-defamation of teachers by students? How
do teachers and school boards take advantage of the educational opportunities presented by
social media, given these challenges? Should social media used by students be regulated?
Panellists will discuss the latest law and describe the scope of the issues from the perspective of
students, teachers, school boards and lawyers, with an emphasis on ways to manage the issues.
