MEDICINE THERAPIES

Hyperthyroidism is an endocrine
condition, characterized by hyperactivity of the
thyroid and by hypersecretion of the hormones:
tyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). Thyroid
is the endocrine gland situated under Adam’s
apple. By secreting thyroid hormones, it
regulates the activity of the cardiovascular,
respiratory, digestive, and nervous systems’
activity as well as the basal metabolism.

Therefore, thyroid’s hypersecretion will accelerate basal metabolism as well as cell

and organic activity, triggering a number of manifestations that affect a patient’s activity and
threaten his health. Failing to treat hyperthyroidism, it will develop complications, such as:
hypertension, cardiac insufficiency, paroxistic fibrillation, vision disorders and decreased
vision acuity; deterioration of the emotional and affective life (depression, anxiety, panic
attacks, etc.).

Generally, patients with hyperthyroidism complain of:

 excessive heat, accompanied by profuse perspiration (hidrosis);

 hot flashes and intolerance to high temperatures;

 palpitations and chest pains;

 tachycardia nervousness and/or excessive irritability;

 anxiety/inquietude and agitation;

 sleeping disorders and insomnia;

  lump in the throat and/or suffocation;

 accelerated motility and intestinal activity;

 heavy fatigue major loss of weight (caused by increased metabolic burnings);

 trembling hands breathing disorders;

 muscle weakness;

 deterioration of skin, hair and nails loss of hair;

 goiter;

 overvaluation of the self followed by lack of self confidence;

 in certain contexts, there occur bipolar disorders (at somatic level it triggers major
fluctuations in the hormonal secretions).

Treatment

As thyroid is especially affected by radiations and environment pollution, its treatment

will strengthen body immunity so that it should be protected against radiations; it will also
tonify the central nervous system in order to increase endurance to stress. The toxicity caused
by the excess of hormones in the body will be reduced by metabolizing them.

By stimulating certain acupuncture centres, we send the information to hypophysis

that thyroid secrets normal amounts of T3 and T4 and it will normalize hypophiseal secretions.
The secretions of thyroid hormones are regulated by stimulating thyroid and parathyroid
energy centres. The thyroid nodules are resorbed, if any.

Acupuncture procedures will direct the active substances contained in the medicinal
herbs to the thyroid area, in order to detect a cell secreting the normal amount of thyroid
hormones. The genetic information of the respective cell will be taken and transmitted to the
other cells. The cells that do not comply with the order will be gradually destroyed and
replaced by others that carry out their function properly.
