Council Quilt Patch Program

All Girl Scouts

As a quilt is a beautiful piece of artwork with many

shapes and colors of fabric, so is the Girl Scout
movement. This patch program was created to
encourage Girl Scouts to visit places and participate
in activities outside their local communities.
We begin our new journey, uniting 22 counties in
Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan to create
Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana Council
(GSNIM). This patch program encourages and
challenges each girl to explore and connect with her
sister Girl Scouts and their communities.

REQUIREMENT
1. Carry out a eld trip to a place of interest
or participate in any Girl Scout activity held
in the county.

The patches and segments are available in the GSNIM

council shops.

The quilt surrounds a central patch stating Im Going

Places in Girl Scouts.
There are 22 small rectangular segments with a
colorful footprint and the name of each country that
can be added creatively to piece together a council quilt
or weave around other patches as a footprint path on
the back of Girl Scouts sashes and vests.
Two forms are included with this patch program.

Girls and leaders can track their progress through this

There is only one (1) requirement for each

segment.
