They include days or evenings of prayer and liturgy which take place all around the diocese in the fall and spring, and overnight/weekend retreats that are planned each summer. A retreat for caregivers is sponsored twice each. Your contributions to the CSA make the work of this ministry possible. Thank you! OPEN YOUR HEART AND HOME. .to a Catholic exchange student from Germany or France for the coming 2011/2012 school year. Caring host families or single parents (with or without children) are needed to provide food, a bed and a loving home for one or two semesters starting in late August. The students are 15 to 18 years old, have medical insurance, spending money for their personal expenses and expect to share their host familys daily life including household responsibilities. They speak English, are well-screened and eager to experience life with an American host family. Their stay here is sponsored and supervised by EMF (Educational Merit Foundation), a non-profit, educational exchange program. Interested host families are encouraged to apply and select a student as soon as possible. For more information on EMF students, please contact Marie -Claude DiJoud at 1-800-467-8363 or visit the web site @ www.emfusa.org. A FAMILY PERSPECTIVE The demands of family can be so overwhelming we feel walking on water would be easier. When Jesus was pressured, He dismissed everyone so he could be by himself and pray. When overwhelmed and stressed, go to a quiet place and surrender your pressured feelings to the Lord using Peters prayer in todays gospel: Lord, save me.

CHILD PROTECTION AND CREATING SAFE ENVIRONMENTS Parents should consider having internet accounts in their name with parents having the primary screen name, controlling passwords and using blocking and/or filtering devices. Children should not complete a profile for a service provider and childrens screen names should be nondescript so as not to identify that the user is a child.
