Case Study: NBC Deal Or No Deal iTV Sweepstakes


NBC Highlights
! mms partnered with Endemol and NBC to enable the first in the US iTV cross-carrier Premium SMS-based Sweepstakes for Deal or No Deal television game show. ! ! ! mms also powers Vas o No Vas Spanish version on Telemundo.

Viewers text a case number (one out of 6) for a chance to win $10,000. 6 calls to action throughout each show, with very clear callouts. In Season 1 (2005-06), the show gave away more than $1M in sweepstakes. In May06 there were over 54 million total entries. Season 2 premiere was the 11th most-watched network prime time show. On Sept 18, the show awarded $200,000. Between Sept 19 and 22, over $100,000 in prizes was given away. In March 2007, mms surpassed 100 million transactions since September 18, 2006. Deal or No Deal S2 generated nearly half ($17M) of the volume and revenue of voting/ sweepstakes entries in Q1of 2007 (Telephia)
