(Will put in Appendix) In the graph, there is mean, median, mode, and standard deviation represented. They are all used because they all better show the true representation of the data. The standard deviation is higher for non-symmetrical faces, there is more variation in the non-symmetric data, than the symmetric. The method used to analyze the data was the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Inferential Statistics, due to the repeated measures design of the experiment, or a one-tailed hypothesis. Through tests my group found the W=83; Z=.2.59; p=.0048. Since p .01, the null hypothesis thereby rejected. The overarching message the data presents is that overall, symmetrical faces, whether represented by mean, median, or mode, scored higher than non-symmetrical faces.
