Deadbeat

Dominic Welch or Dominic Deadbeat is a dj and beat producer known for his ability to hold it together while collaborating with multiple crews on a regular basis. Deadbeats music is either dark and creepy or up-beat and happy blending styles iike Undergound and Boom Bap. Deadbeat discovered a passion for the music as a drummer when he was 13. Between 1999 and 2000 he began to dj and create beats. Since then Deadbeat has earned a loyal fan base ranging from vatos to emo-hipsters. He looks up to artists like DJ Flare, DJ Rectangle, Peanut Butter Wolf and J. Dilla and is most inspired by his brothers, sister and parents. Deadbeat is signed under Indie Music Label Stylefree Records in Colorado. His writing process often includes a cup of co ee in the morning as he opens his mind to everyday experiences with family and friends. At the end of the day, Deadbeat strives to make music that he can enjoy himself. Deadbeat has released several albums including: The Dirty Old Muchacho (2008), The Dirty Old Muchacho PresentsThe Deadbeat Poet Society (2009) and Bean Cheese Cool Arrows with Native and Los Guyz (2010). He has performed throughout Colordo, Montana and New Mexico at venues like Cervantes Master Ballroom, Aggie Theater, Mishawaka Ampitheater, The Zebra Lounge, Ship Rock Park and The Tree House.

Deadbeat has collaborated with artists like 2mex, Sleep of Oldominon, Josh Martinez, Onry Ozzborn, Native, James Vega, Qbala, Mr. B, Dr. Mandible Lecture, Eye Cue and Emily Cassell to name a few. He has also toured with Moka Only and opened alongside The Chicharones for Mike Eagle and Chesci. Deadbeat is currently working on his next solo album called Dominic Deadbeat Presentslong live Dirty Old Muchacho. His ultimate goal is to continue making music until his ngers dont work anymore.
