The Little League season has kicked off in San Diego, with players all over thecounty sporting their new Padres uniforms thanks to the club’s Youth Baseball Initiative...the programhas supplied over 11,600 Little Leaguers with Padres uniforms, representing 20 different styles fromthroughout the club’s history.
SPRING TRAINING RECAP:

WHAT A RELIEF:
The eight Padres relievers named to the club’s Opening Day roster combined to go8-4 with a 3.69 ERA (35 ER/85.1 IP) this Spring...their performance was led by stellar Springs fromRHP Andrew Cashner (10.0 IP) and LHP Joe Thatcher (9.1 IP), who each allowed just one run over the course of the Cactus League slate...the two relievers also averaged over a strikeout per inningpitched, with Cashner tallying 16 and Thatcher collecting 10.
