Mime Assignment

For your mime assignment your group will be creating a group mime that tells the story of an historical event. This event can be anything from 2001 or later. Pick a specific event (example: instead of picking the Civil War pick the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and the hunt for his assassin. ) You will need to include a typed OUTLINE. This should include 15 or more steps of specific action. The outline should be very, very clear and specific, more than 15 steps is okay!!! Could another group pick up your outline and perform your mime? There should be an original, creative, and innovative IDEA. Your group has selected an historical event that is specific and can include everyone equally. Additionally, you have included some research (a newspaper article, or a brief summary of the original event.) Each group member creates a clear CHARACTER that is sustainable throughout the mime. You select details that are focused and elaborate. The group has total control of body and technique, the MOVEMENT of the mime establishes the what and where of the story. TEAMWORK means that each group member has contributed equally. The story is clear and implements the required TECHNIQUE.

Overall, your goal is to tell a story that has a clear beginning, middle and end. Each group member needs to share equally in the storytelling and movements.
