ROCKY ANDERSON KICKING OFF SEATTLE BALLOT ACCESS DRIVE

In Washington State small political parties have a chance to get on the November ballot but rst, there are a few requirements they must meet. Starting on Saturday, May 5th members of the Justice Party of Washington will begin collecting signatures to put their Presidential Candidate Rocky Anderson on the ballot. Anderson, the former two term Mayor of Salt Lake City, founder of the High Road for Human Rights and co-founder of the Justice Party USA will be in Seattle for the kickoff of the petition drive to get his name on the November ballot. The Seattle event will take place at the Market Pig at Pike Place Market. Rocky Anderson will be arriving about nine A.M. to have coffee with supporters and the public. The petition signing will commence at 9:30 A.M. and will be on going throughout the day. Other Justice Party petition drives will be taking place in Olympia at the Farmers Market as well as at the Farmers Market in Vancouver. Groups seeking Presidential ballot access have between May 5th and May 12th to collect at least 1000 signatures from Washingtonians. Signing a petition does not mean the signer must vote for that candidate. The petition drive is to get a candidate and party on the ballot so voters have a choice of someone other than the major party candidates on election day. On Saturday, at 4:00 P.M. Rocky Anderson will be at theTraditions Cafe in Olympia where he will greet and talk with supporters and meet people he hopes will join the Justice Party in Washington state. At 6:30 Saturday evening, there will be a fundraiser/dinner at PIZZARIA LA GITANA in SW Olympia. The public is welcome to come, buy some gourmet pizza, celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Rocky Anderson and donate to the campaign. FOR MORE INFORMATION contact: Nancy Karter: 801-990-5300
