Introduction

Some customers may complain about water dripping from the dome lamp area in the headliner. Use
the following repair procedure to correct this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
• This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicles in-service date.

• Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customers specific


complaint.

Repair Procedure

1. Remove headliner.
For headliner removal and installation instructions, refer to the Technical Information System
(TIS), applicable model year Repair Manual:
• 2005 Tacoma, Vehicle Interior – Interior Panels/Trim – “Roof Headlining Assy (Double
Cab): Components / Replacement”
• 2006 Tacoma, Vehicle Interior – Interior Panels/Trim – “Interior: Roof Headlining (for Double
Cab): Components / Removal”
• 2007 Tacoma, Vehicle Interior – Interior Panels/Trim – “Interior: Roof Headlining (for Double
Cab): Components / Removal”

2. Add NEW pad material to the area as shown below in the illustration.
3. Install the headliner in the reverse order as removal.
