    First Grade News

    May 28June 1 and June 4 June 7, 2012


    What were learning
    Our Bible stories for these weeks are Daniel in the Lions Den, Queen Esther, Gods People Return Home, and Job. We will be reading the rest of the stories in our basal reading book. We will really be focusing on reading these last two weeks. Math will include fact families and review of what we have learned this year. We are done with spelling for the year and will be reviewing in class. In Science we will be choosing an animal to research, write notes about, and share with the class.

    Important Notes

    Our end of the year field trip to Morgan Hill Aquatic Center is on June 6th. We will leave from school at 9:00 and return to school around 2:45. Please watch for an email with more specifics. Our Apostles students get to sing for the graduation service on June 7th at 7pm. Please have your child come to the first grade classroom by 6:40. We will be sitting together as a class. Final report cards may be picked up after the Graduation service on June 7th. If you are unable to make it to the service, you may pick them up at the school office.
