NICE may revise
toll on Tuesday

BANGALORE: After drawing
flak from various quarters
for its alleged arbitrary toll
tariff, the Nandi Infrastruc-
ture Corridor Enterprises
(NICE) is going to release
the revised toll rates for the
Bangalore-Mysore Infra-
structure Corridor (BMIC)
on Tuesday.
A press communique of
the NICE said that on Tues-
day it will declare the re-
vised rates.
Insiders, however, said
that there is no plan for ex-
emption to the mobike rid-
ers on this toll road but there
will be a considerable relief
to them.
It was also learnt that oth-
er vehicles will not be get-
ting a major relief.
Now all eyes are set on
the revised rates to be de-
clared on Tuesday as it will
reveal whether the talks
about the rates are as-
sumption or has a pinch
of truth in it.
In wake of the NICE
decision to declare its re-
vised rate for the BMIC,
those opposed to the toll
rates did not stage any
protest on Monday.
Vatal Nagaraj, who
had earlier declared to
hold a ‘Sleeping Protest’
in front of the CM’s bun-
galow, kept on hold his de-
cision untill the revised
toll tariff are declared.
Similarly the CPI (M) and
other political parties are
also waiting for the new
toll rates.
