RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR MEMORY VERSE COMPETITION

RULES FOR STUDENTS 1. Do not write your name in the sheet given. Only the roll no: given by the teacher. 2. Time period -one hour is given for all the participants. Within the given time all the participants are supposed to write the maximum no: of verses. 3. The verses can be written in any order. 4. Participants must quote the given verse and reference accurately and perfectly. 5. Hand writing should be neat and clear i.e legible. 10 marks bonus will be given for neat and legible handwriting. 6. No overwriting or white ink. The mistake should be cut by a single line and the correct word written next to it. 7. Mark would be cut for the spelling mistakes. Also for wrong verse and wrong reference. 8. Extra 5 minutes would be given for re-checking.

RULES FOR TEACHERS 1. Total marking for Junior is 50. 2 marks for each verse.1 mark should be deducted for wrong reference and wrong verse. {1+1=2}. For every 5 spelling mistakes 1 mark should be deducted. 2. Total marking for Intermediates is 100. 2 marks for each verse. 1 mark should be deducted for wrong reference and wrong verse. {1+1=2}. For every 3 spelling mistakes 1 mark should be deducted 3. Total marking for Seniors is 150. 2 marks for each verse. 1 mark should be deducted for wrong reference and wrong verse. {1+1=2}. For every 2 spelling mistakes 1 mark should be deducted. 4. Total marking for Secondary is 200. 2 marks for each verse. 1 mark should be deducted for wrong reference and wrong verse. {1+1=2}. For every 1 spelling mistakes 1 mark should be deducted. 5. 10 marks extra should be given for neatness and legibility.
