Curve displays can be created in the same way as technological mimics in design mode. Up to 10 technological values can be used to form a curve group. Measured proces s values as well as calculated values can be used as the signal source. The time base can be between 10min, 1h, 6h, 12h or 24h depending on the screen t hat is shown. A different time range in seconds up to several days can be stipul ated when a curve display is created. The curve is formed with this time base wh en it is opened. The range shown in each case can be moved into the past step by step or can star t immediately at an earlier time by means of a date entry. In addition, any time range can be specified online, provided that the corresponding values exist in the archive. Online changes to curve displays are not saved. When the display is opened again, the curve appears again as configured. If changes are to be retained, they must be made in configuration mode or made o nline in the form of user-specific displays. Cursors can be inserted if the values are to be shown at a particular time. The curve displays are usually observed as flowing displays. If so desired, the flow can be stopped in order to make a printout, for example, or carry out an an alysis directly on the monitor. The color of the background for curve displays can be set for the entire system (standard background: white).
