YIS Middle School English Blogs Project

Writing to provoke, inspire and entertainʼ: Your best blog post assessed
A good blog post makes us want to respond. A
good blog post makes us think. On your YIS
edublog, we want you to write posts that are
creative, thought-provoking and well written.

Below are the criteria we will use to assess what

you think is your best post of the semester. It
could be a post about a book, film or play that
you have seen. Or it might be a response to
something someone else wrote or a task given
to you by your teacher.
Your post should be at least three hundred
words long and not more than six hundred, but
remember the quality of the ideas and language are the focus here. You will be be given time in class
and set homework to write posts, but feel free to add to your blog when you have something you want
to write about (the criteria below are designed to help you develop your writing skills).
