My Decalogue as a DeMolay 1. I represent my chapter and the Order of DeMolay.

Whatever I do reflects not only upon myself but as well as upon my fellow DeMolays who are scattered
around the world who cannot for the moment speak for themselves.

2. I am responsible for what my Chapter in particular and our Order in general represents and what it stands for. 3. Unless I have a better suggestion or if I cannot provide good counsel, I should not criticize what my brothers do for our Order. 4. I must always bear in mind that it is not enough for me to bear the name DeMolay. I must sincerely strive to become a worthy and exemplary brother maintain as such. 5. Our Chapter and our Order consist of me and other members thereof. They cease to exist without our active support. 6. When it calls upon me, my Chapter and our Order is doing me a favour. On the other hand, when I serve my Chapter and our Order, I am not doing it a favour. It is both an obligation and a privilege for me to help my Chapter as well as the Order 7. I should give my Fellow DeMolays the same respect, Honor and Understanding that I would like to receive from them. 8. To be a DeMolay is not a right; rather, it is an honor, which I should respect by abiding by all of the precepts and bylaws of my Chapter, my DeMolay Region, my Supreme Council and our Order as a whole. 9. Whatever differences my fellow DeMolays and I may have, we are all linked by the bonds of loyalty to the ever living God, our respective families, respective Chapters and our beloved Order. 10. When I willingly, zealously and enthusiastically perform my duties as a DeMolay, Ill make sure that my family is understanding and supportive of me in my DeMolay activities, then we Become the lifeblood of our respective chapters and the Order.
