O-S-U soccer star Adrianna Franch will go from wearing the orange and black to donning the red, white and blue. Settle down Cowgirl fans, she is not transferring schools. Franch and 21 others were selected by USA soccer to compete in the FIFA under20 womens World Cup. Germany, the land of great brew, will host this event. The freshman goalkeeper out of Salina, Kansas is the first O-S-U player to ever compete for a U.S. National team. Action kicks off on July 13th and ends August 1st.

Stanley Sutton 6/3/10 Sean Sutton Hearing A court hearing for former O-S-U basketball coach Sean Sutton has been delayed by two months. Sutton had been due to appear Monday in the Payne County District Court for a preliminary hearing on four felony charges. These chargers all relate to the illegal obtainment of prescription drugs. The trial will now occur on August 13th as Sutton continues to undergo rehab. Sutton went 39-29 in two seasons with the Pokes before resigning in April 2008.

Stanley Sutton 6/3/10 Tulsa Shock Player Suspended

Speaking of basketball, struggles continue for the 2-and-3 Tulsa Shock. Guard Alexis Hornbuckle was suspended for two games yesterday after pleading guilty to a D-U-I charge. The incident took place last year in Detroit. Hornbuckle is averaging 5.4 points and 3 rebounds per game this season for the Shock. She will rejoin the team on June 11th when the team takes on the San Antonio Silver Stars.
