WHO ARE WE?

Save Hammersmith & Fulham Hospitals is a resident-led campaign group formed in July 2012 to fight the proposed closure of hospital services in Hammersmith & Fulham. Following the announcement on 2 July that the Joint Committee of North West London Primary Care Trusts was consulting on hospital closures across west London, a group of over 250 concerned residents attended a meeting chaired by Andy Slaughter, MP for Hammersmith, and decided to launch this campaign.

OUR OBJECTIVES
To prevent the closure of major services at Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals, in particular the Accident & Emergency departments at both hospitals and the hyper-acute stroke unit and in-patient beds at Charing Cross To organise lobbies and protests against the closures To meet Ministers and officials from the Department of Health and the local NHS to put our case To work with others opposing hospital closures in west London, including local councils, campaigns in other boroughs, clinicians, trades unions and political parties To be open to all who live and work in Hammersmith & Fulham To remain politically independent
