Roma caf is an informal space, where the voice of the Roma people, who usually do not have this opportunity, is heard. ERGO Network sees it crucially important to provide space in Brussels for Roma people to share their stories and debate together about realities and challenges to all who want to listen, discuss or help.
During each Roma caf Roma personalities from all over Europe are invited as debate starters, like human rights activists, researchers, social workers, celebrities as well as people who work closely with Roma. While drinking a coffee, a custom of many Roma people, the moderated debate brings us closer to each other and helps us to understand better what challenges are Roma facing today with the intention new thoughts into our lives, projects and policies.
