to welcome the Olympic Flame

On Saturday 19 May, the Olympic Flame will begin a 70 day journey from Lands End in Cornwall to the Olympic Stadium in London

On 27 July 2012, the last Torchbearer will light a cauldron during the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony

Along the way, the Flame will travel on sea, in the air, by train, on wheels and on foot. It will pass some of the UKs most famous landmarks like Stonehenge and Big Ben.

On <insert date> the Olympic Torch Relay is going through <insert name of community near you>. So well get to be part of the action!

Which landmarks do you think it might visit near us?

8000 Torchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame along with the route. They each have an inspirational story to tell
