    NIMD Democracy School to launch in Batumi

    Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) and Friedrich Naumann Stiftung have agreed to partner in launching the Democracy School in Batumi in October 2012. Democracy School is an in-depth five-month educational program for active citizens and representatives of NGO, self-government, political and media organizations. Participants will undergo intensive skills training and a professional course in democratic history, democratic society, democratic governance, leadership and social entrepreneurship. Trainings will be delivered by the practitioners, researchers and experts of the relevant topics. Participants will also gain access to the electronic learning environment and small grants competition. Currently, NIMD Democracy Schools are operational in the cities of Telavi, Gori and Kutaisi.
