Responsibilities :

1. Prevention of incidents : Formulate and implement various safety systems, identify hazards at workplace, monitor work permit system/PPE. 2. Training & awareness creation : Safety training to employees, contract workmen. Specific training to employees based on hazards, audio - visual safety management and conduct various competitions during National Safety Day / Week & Fire Services Day. 3. Incident Investigation & Reporting System : Investigate all incidents, prepare report, prepare time bound corrective & its implementation, send report in relevant formats and comply with the recommendations of statutory authorities. 4. Statutory Compliance : Compliance of all statutory requirements pertaining to OH & Safety and liaison with Factories Inspectorate in line with approval of plans and other safety matters. 5. Disaster Compliance : Disaster Management Plan based on the prevailing hazards and their mitigation plan and plan & execute periodic Mock drills. 6. OHSAS - 18001 System : Co-ordinate the activities as Management Representative of the Works, facilitate departments in maintenance of the system and Co-ordinate with Certifying body for audits and certification 7. Modification, Capex plan and New Equipments : To carry out necessary modification work to remove unsafe conditions, plan activities under Capex plan based on recent developments in the field of Safety and procure modern safety gadgets based on the risks in the plant. 8. WCM : Co-ordinate and facilitate implementation.

Responsible for leading the plants processes relating to the occupational Health, Safety and environmental engineering. Develop and integrated plant-wide systems approach to illness prevention, compliance assurance relating to stringent global safety and environmental standards Specific responsibilities (a) Creation of a safe and healthy workplace (b) Maintenance of safety and health documents (c) Carrying out audits (d) Compliance with all pertinent regulations Coordinating waste and salvage handling procedures including landfill systems onsite storage and coordinating recycling programs.

Job Description 1. To prepare EHS Strategy for the site in line with corporate EHS Plan for Excellence 2. To co-ordinate setting of EHS objectives for the site 3. To support preparation and updation of EHS procedures / standards as per the Corporate EHS guidelines for the site 4. To plan, and control all Environments, Safety & Health related activities on a regular basis to ensure compliance of statutory requirements 5. To lead interventions and activities that take the site to leadership position with respect to EHS implementation of policies, practices, KPIs & culture. 6. To liaise with other departments in planning and implementing measures for prevention of unsafe work practices to meet requirements of Site Contract pertaining to Safety. 7. To create/ improve awareness through training and other means of communication among the employees regarding Environment, Safety, Health, Fire

prevention & protection to minimize disruption to production, eliminate lost time accidents & generally meet the obligation of company. 8. Monitor, analyze and control to reduce the accidents in the factory 9. To investigate the accidents with the help of OE tools to find out root causes and take remedial measures to avoid reoccurrence.
