Synopsis
ACI 315R-94 is a selection of 58 foldout drawings, accompanied by commentary, for both nonhighway and highway reinforced concrete structures. It was prepared in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration and with the cooperation of the Engineering Practice Committee of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute. The engineering drawings for nonhighway structures were selected from plans of actual structures. They have been modified where necessary to conform more closely with "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACI 318-89)" and to illustrate recommended methods of presenting the design information needed to make the placing drawings. The designs for highway structures are presented to illustrate the use of accepted methods for detailing reinforced concrete highway structures (though the drawings may not represent the best or most economical bridges for conditions shown). Keywords: beams (supports); columns (supports); compressive strength; concrete slabs, fire ratings; fire endurance; fire resistance; fire tests; masonry walls; modulus of elasticity; prestressed concrete; prestressing steels; reinforced concrete; reinforcing steel; structural design; temperature distribution; thermal properties; walls.

ACI 315R-94 constitutes the second part of SP-66, the ACI Detailing Manual1994. (The first part is the standard, "Details and Detailing of Concrete Reinforcement (ACI 315-92)," which can be found in Part 3 of the MCP printed version and also on this CD. SP-66 is available in spiral bound, 81/4 11 in. soft cover format.
