Sauvignon Blanc

History

This variety of grape comes from the Bordeaux region of France.

The name Sauvignon Blanc in French means Wild White in English. This type of vine was introduced to New Zealand in the 1970s.

Sauvignon Blanc has no relation to the Sauvignon Ros.

Sauvignon Blanc grapes differ greatly depending on which country and climate they are grown in.

Sauvignon Blanc wines from Australia can have a high acidity and vegetable palate.
