Fire Triangle: Elements of a Fire
The interaction of the three equal sides of the re triangle: ame, fuel and oxygen, are required for the creation and maintenance of any re. When there is not enough heat generated to sustain the process, when the fuel is exhausted, removed, or isolated, or when oxygen supply is limited, then a side of the triangle is broken and the re is suppressed.

What to do in a Fire

R escue A larm C onne E xit/extinguish

Rescue people in immediate danger. Move them to a safe place. Sound the nearest re alarm! Also notify the switchboard operator and/or call 9-1-1 if possible. Close the doors and windows to conne the re. Turn off oxygen or electrical equipment. Use a re extinguisher (PASS) if re is small. Evacuate if necessary.
