Bones
Human Body = 206 Bones 4 types: Long Bones (i.e. femur) Bear weight of the body

Short Bones (i.e. ngers) Allow skill and ease of movement

Flat Bones (i.e. ribs) Protect organs

Irregular Bones (i.e. spine) Vertebrae in the spinal column. Allow various degrees of movement and exibility

Joints

Ball-And-Socket Joint Allows movement in all directions. Rounded-end of one bone and hollow end of another bone. (i.e. Hips or shoulders)

Hinge Joint Allows movement in one direction. (i.e. The Elbow)

Pivot Joint Allows turning from side-toside. The skull is connected to the spine by a pivot joint.
