Fowlers Position
Low-Fowlers 0 Degrees - 30 Degrees Semi-Fowlers 30 Degrees - 45 Degrees High-Fowlers 45 Degrees - 90 Degrees

Supine Position
The Back-Lying position used for resting and sleeping

Note: Frail clients should never be left unattended while sitting upright in the 90-Degree position. The client may tip forward, fall to one side or fall out of bed.

Lateral Position
The Side-Lying position

Sims Position
Left-Lying position where the right leg is exed so that it is not resting on the left leg

Prone Position
Front-Lying position on the abdomen

Sitting Position
Position while sitting in a chair or wheelchair. Good alignment has upper body and head erect.
