A legal document outlining a clients condition or illness and responses to care. Record of the care you have given the client and observations you have made during care. Using your senses to obtain information about the clients current condition. Establishing priorities and goals and developing measures or actions to help the client meet the goals. a.k.a. Symptoms. Information reported by the client that cannot be directly observed by others. (i.e. I hardly slept last night, Pain is worse today) a.k.a. Signs. Information observed using your senses about the clients health. (i.e. seeing swelling, hear abnormal sound, feel a fever)!

Chapter 33 - Rehabilitation Care Terms: Orthotic, Restorative Care, Rehabilitation, Prosthesis _______________! _______________! _______________! ! ! ! _______________! ! ! ! The process of restoring function to former levels. Articial replacement for a missing body part. Philosophy of care centralized around restoring independence to the greatest extent possible. Used to support, align, prevent, or correct deformities or to improve the function of movable parts of the body. (i.e. braces or splints)

Chapter 15 - Growth and Development Terms: Development, Developmental Task _______________! ! ! ! _______________! The maturation toward adulthood; characteristics and abilities unfold in an orderly ! ay. w A skill or activity expected to be mastered at a particular age.
