In my school I often translate ancient Greek.

I like translating Greek very much because, when I finish the translation, I can understand a lot of new things about our history, and translations often teach me a lot of philosophical concepts.

In fact the texts which we translate were written by philosophers who wanted to talk about important aspects of real life.

Some of them were: Temistocles, Plutarch, Aristofanes, Euripides, Tucidides, Eschilus etc

I also like Greek because its a language that embodies a beautiful history. In fact the Greeks built same theatres using woods or stones to make theatrical performances about these writings.

These theatres still exist and they are still used to make theatrical performances about the same writings, as in ancient Greece.

The most important theatrical performances are tragedies. A tragedy is a story which talks about gods who can submit persons or who can make agreements with them to reach their goals.

One of the most famous tragedies known all over the world is Medea written by Euripides which talks about this woman who is tormented because her husband Jason got married with Creons daughter, to become king of Corinth.

I think that a subject has to fascinate a student to give him the desire to study it.
