Mumbai Diary During my childhood my parents said I was quite like a tom boy attitude.

But at certain stage of life I remember I was quite shy and little scary also to walk next street of my house where my best friend use to live. I was on the verge of completing my 12th exams when I decided to make my own path, did not even bothered whether what my parents would say or world but then I think that who cares attitude comes in that age. Just know that want to do something distinct , want to explore more in world above all want to make myself independent. Credit goes to my lovely parents especially my Dad who stood beside me like a pillar of all the up and down of life and finally helped me to pursue career in hotel management. Thats the time when I was really crazy about the city Mumbai but fortunately or unfortunately I got all India Hotel Management seat in Bhopal. Well known as city of lakes. Lush greenery, quite close to nature especially new Bhopal but that Royal Nawabs look also you can find very much. But the charm of Mumbai was always there in my heart. City of dreams, where person find happiness in petty things which matters a lot in life. Though its not capital of India but have all the major things there. Tourist attractions, Business, IT, Finance Hub, Media Mix, Heartbeat of Indian Cinema and so on. During my six months of internship in 2001 With The Oberoi and The Oberoi Towers (which is renamed as Hilton) taught me the best way to live life. Working with Hilton, I came across to see lots of celebs, major parties and I have learned many things , so many thing which no text books shall teach me but can be learned only through experience. One thing learnt that any industry is tough to work but when you start loving that work it becomes passion and passion becomes life. I always felt if you live in Mumbai probable say for few weeks or months you will be in love with the city and people. As they say, the MAXIMUM CITY grows on you .The city where all are welcome with open arms. When you step in the city you are like a baby, and Mumbai will teach you to crawl, teaches you how to get up when u fall help it also shows that people are there to like you and help you to take your baby steps and then will surely give your hard work a name. Initial days of my internship I was staying in Dombivili with my uncle house and later moved to Andheri as PG. Must say I got specialised in house hunt since that time, you can get anything easily in Mumbai but a shelter whoa quite hard task getting a good home is an uphill task- but still you will find best and finally with the help of lovely friends I found one for me. Mumbais heart is Local train and buses as transport especially trains they are just life lines of Mumbai. I remember, my shift timings use to be weird and to make my life organise and discipline Mumbai helped me a lot. Imagine at home you get everything on time as no worries lovely amma is there to take care but once you stay all alone straight from scratch have to do all by yourself that too without showing off the world even if you are scared you are actually not. At times I used to return home around 2.00 am from work, but still that city always made me feel safe. Those six months taught me life is not that we live; life is that entire how we make to live. Surprised birthday party thrown by lovely friends and their family for whom I was just a visitor in their city but they treated me as a member of their family. I was so overwhelmed with such an expression of that city people. I felt like true Indians reside here who dont see caste, creed but who believe in humanity and they just know one thing their religion is humanity and they are Indian. After the successful completion of my studies I got job in Chennai , actually I went for my vacation but due to my love for my grandparents I decided to stay back with them and make my career there. After 5 great working years I finally got married who is die hard Chennaite. I was wondering how he

will be finding this Cocktail girl who other than south India roamed all parts of India. But then thats what I believe we all meet some person in our life for reason and our soul mates is already registered in Gods very own diary. A person who doesnt know Hindi but the best part sings Hindi songs amazingly well. He completely sweeps off my feet with his amazing voice and humble nature. And the moment I got to know he is moving to Mumbai I was so happy it was kind of re living the moments. As I said, initial days he found Mumbai snag to cope but a month before our wedding when I heard him saying I just love this city, I was like see Mumbai taught you to live life out of shells. My job in Mumbai was also amazing, re-joined my same Chennai Lufthansa in Mumbai and working there was bliss with such wonderful colloquies cum friend who even took great care of me when I was carrying. Society people, taxi drivers who I dont even know always use to show so much concern at that time. I read about people how they helped in emergency baby delivery in station I was so touched, saw public clearing traffics and helping traffic police. After the childbirth from Chennai when I came back to Mumbai with my six months old son I was wondering how will I manage such a small life all alone but trust me my strength became my neighbours. My neighbourhood surrounded with lovely religion colours of India Christian, Guajarati, Punjabi, Marathi but it was total bliss bringing up my baby in such surrounding. My neighbour Mrs Dorothy and Mr Victor are such a wonderful person Ive ever met humble, if they know anything is just to spread love, my son mostly use to spent time with their family and with neighbour we connected to new relation , Amazing people. Their daughter and son were also like them sweet, kind and loving. Our son first birthday and more than us they were so excited, and they made that day so special. Same our Guajarati neighbour Mrs and Mr Panchal and their family they treated us with lovely Guajarati dishes and loads of love and affection. People with passion I found here. From beaches to park, from ancient times to new age all fun filled activities keep happening here for all the age group. This place is also known as city of threats , terrors but still the other day after any worse situation you can find people walking on road again with new hope of better life. Probably, thats what differ Mumbai from any other place.
