The intent of all announcements is to get some form of action from the audience. There are varying degrees of intensity and styles used to persuade the audience.

Consider the following before you begin:

1. Purpose-

What is the specific purpose of the announcement?

2. Target Audience-

What audience do you wish to reach?

3. Persuasive Appeal-

What is the best way to motivate this audience?

4. StructureWhat device(s) will be used to attract the attention of the audience (i.e.-graphics, sound effects, humor, music, images, etc..)? Is there any specific pacing, mood, or climax that is needed?
