2 Points problem
Known points P and Q Draw a scalar representation of P (p) and Q (q) with the line pq representing line PQ on sheet on any convenient direction. We need to align the chosen point S and obtain the point s on sheet. Choose a random location R and place the plane table at that location with line pq somewhat parallel to line PQ.

Measure the distance between R and S and mark it on the aligned line rS. The point obtained is s1. Shift the plane table to the new location S and fix it. Rotate the table and backsighting to R, fix the table.
