Zara was founded in 1975 and was founded by the Amancio Ortega. In 1963 Ortega began his first studio. In 1975 he opened his first store in A Corua, Galicia spain, of what he called Zara. Once started as a one-man company Zara has grown into one of the largest and most successful fashion companies in the world. The chain consists of 1,160 stores in over 68 countries.
