Single-grade and multigrade oil can be used all year round, taking the outside temperature into consideration (for the areas of application, see sheet 224.1, sheet224.2). Passenger vehicle engines, Commercial vehicle engines from the passenger car division, Industrial engines from the PC sector (BR 100, BR 200, BR 600)

Before the cold season begins, ensure that the viscosity grade (SAE grade) used is sufficient for the outside temperatures to be expected.

Notes: The general rule is that the binding oil quality (MB sheet) is that specified in the owner's manual of the respective vehicle. This table only contains oil types for engines that are currently in production! Information on unlisted, older engine models can be found in the vehicle operator's manuals or the maintenance procedures. Vehicle-specific special considerations must also be observed for the use of the engine oils. Enable Can only be used in exceptional cases or under certain operating conditions/in certain applications. Must not be used

Restriction: Only "Mobil 1 5W-50", SAE 5W-50, sheet 229.3 is approved. Restriction: Only SAE 0W-40 and SAE 5W-40 engine oils may be used! Recommendation: In order to ensure optimum lubrication at low outside temperatures and owing to increased loads (e.g. due to biofuels), the viscosities SAE 0W-30, 0W-40 or SAE 5W-30, 5W-40 are recommended as year-round oils for VAN engines. Please note the application areas in the operator's manual or on sheet 224.1 in this regard.
