Qualification & Experience: All the prescribed qualifications should be from Govt. recognized Indian university/Institute as a regular student and the required minimum post qualification experience as on 30/09/2012 for each post is given below.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV(Electrical)

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (F&S) Matric with Sub-Officers course from NFSC Nagpur & HMV License; - OR Matric with Firemen course from recognized Institute & HMV License. Minimum Physical Standards : Height : 165 CM. Weight : 50 KG. Chest:Normal 81CM, Expanded 86 CM. Eye sight : Normal without Glasses. Colour Vision : Normal. Free from any Vertigo problems, disease of heart, lungs, kidney and abnormal blood pressure.

Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/09/2012 1 (one) year post qualification experience in maintenance of process control instrumentation in medium scale process units like refinery/petrochemical/fertilizer industries and 3 (three) years post qualification experience of similar nature for candidates possessing Matric with ITI certificate. 1 (one) year post qualification experience in maintenance and repair of electrical equipments preferably in chemical process plants in fertilizer/hydrocarbon sector and 3 (three) years post qualification experience of similar nature for candidates possessing Matric with ITI certificate. 2 (two) years post qualification experience in Fire Service in Petroleum / Petrochemical / Fertilizer or other large scale Industries.

Matric with ITI (Fitter) / ITI (Mill Wright) AND Boiler Competency Certificate OR B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry & Maths OR 3 (three) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Govt. recognized Institute / University as a regular student AND Boiler Competency Certificate.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Mech-CC)

Matric with ITI (Fitter) OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Govt. recognized Institute / University as a regular student.

Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/09/2012 1 (one) year post qualification Experience in electrical operation of Power Plant / Gas Turbine and Electrical distribution system in Chemical Process Plants / Fertilizers / Hydrocarbon Industries for candidates possessing B.Sc. OR Diploma and 3 (three) years post qualification experience of similar nature for candidates possessing Matric with ITI certificate. 1 (one) year post qualification experience in power plant operation (Gas Turbine / Steam Turbine, Boiler & HRSG operation) including Raw / DM Water treatment plant / Air Compressor handling for candidates possessing B.Sc. OR Diploma and 3 (three) years post qualification experience of similar nature for candidates possessing Matric with ITI certificate. 1 (one) year post qualification experience in Maintenance of Rotary equipments (Pumps, Gas Turbine / Steam Turbines & Compressors) used in Chemical Process of fertilizer/hydrocarbon industries for Diploma holders and 3 (three) years post qualification experience of similar nature for candidates possessing Matric with ITI certificate.

AGE LIMIT: Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years as on 30/09/2012 (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates for the posts reserved for them). Age relaxation applicable for Ex-Serviceman/PWD as per Govt. directives. SELECTION METHODOLOGY: Selection would be based on written test, Trade Test (Wherever applicable) and personal interview. The candidates will have to pass successfully through each stage of the selection process including medical fitness for being adjudged suitable for selection. Filling up of vacancies is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for appointment, if vacancies are not filled due to unsuitability of candidates. CONCESSIONS/RELAXATION: In case of candidates who have successfully completed Apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 & 1986 in the relevant discipline & area of Training, requisite experience would be condoned to the extent of apprenticeship period undergone. SC/ST/PWD candidates appearing for written test / interview shall be reimbursed second class rail/bus fare by the shortest route as per rules on production of tickets. SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Candidates from other categories should enclose a crossed D/D of Rs.100/- (Rs. One hundred only) as application fee (nonrefundable) in favour of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. payable at SBI, Haldia Refinery Campus Branch. (Branch Code: 7090). Candidates must write their full name and address on the back side of Demand Draft. PAY & PERKS: In addition to the Basic Pay, D.A., HRA and other benefits like Provident Fund, Employees Pension Scheme under PF, Gratuity, Company Quarters, Children Education Allowance, LTC / LFA, liberalized medical benefits, productivity / performance linked incentive, leave encashment, conveyance allowance, superannuation benefits, Post Retirement Medical Attendance benefits etc. shall also be admissible as per the rules of the Corporation.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants from Government / Semi Government / Public Sector Organization must send their application through proper channel or produce No Objection Certificate at the time of appearing in the Test / Interview. In case the candidate fails to do so, his / her candidature will not be considered. Age, Qualification and period of Experience of Candidates will be determined as on 30/09/2012. Applications without supporting documents/incomplete/not fulfilling the prescribed criteria in any respect are liable to be rejected. Candidates belonging to OBC category should submit proper caste certificate as per the proforma of Govt. of India which should among others specifically mention that He / She does not belong to the persons/sections (creamy layer) as mentioned in column 3 of the schedule to the department of personnel and training in the

Govt. of India OM No 36012/22/93-Estt (SCT dtd 08/09/1993).


Application of a candidate having higher qualification than the prescribed education qualification shall be summarily rejected. One candidate can apply for one post only. Candidates applying for more than one post will not be considered. The decision of the Management in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection etc. will be final and no enquiry will be entertained in this regard. At any stage of the recruitment processes if it is found that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information then the candidature / appointment of the candidate is liable to be cancelled.
