SOCALCROSS PRESTIGE SERIES 2010-2011

ADDRESS: Prado Regional Park, 16700 Euclid Avenue, Chino, CA 91710-9298, Phone 1 (909) 597-4260. Located on On Highway 83, south of Highway 60 and north of Highway 91 in Chino. THERE IS A $10.00 parking fee at the entry gate. Food will be available onsite. THE COURSE: This course is comprised of 80% grass with slight elevation changes. Each lap is just over 3km in length. Races are timed circuits on the course based on category. **SEE COURSE MAP-PAGE 3** THE VENUE: Prado Regional Park oers a rural getaway on more than 2,000 acres in the Chino Valley Basin on the borders of Orange and Los Angeles counties. Here you can enjoy shing, horseback riding, camping, picnics, golf, and shooting. Series discount pass available. Go to www.socalcross.org/register for details. Online registration closes Thursday November 1st at 11:59PM (Pacic). Race Day registration opens 2 hours prior to race category start and closes 20 minutes prior to race category start. ENTRY FEES: Pre-Registration entry is listed by category. Race Day entry add $5.00 for all CX categorie. Additional race entries are just $5.00/per race after higher entry is paid. USA CYCLING LICENSE FEE: A valid USA Cycling license is required for all race participants. Annual licenses can be purchased online for $60.00 at: www.USACycling.org or on race day. A USAC One-Day license is available with pre-registration or on race day for $10. One Day licensed riders are open to CX Cat 4 level racers. RULES: Event held under USA Cycling Permit 2012-3863. All 2012 USA Cycling and CX rules apply. Event will be held rain or shine, no refunds. Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes (no bar ends) are welcomed. Bike and wheel changes are allowed in the designated pit areas only. No feeds are allowed on course except under discretion of the race ocials. Riders must wear helmets when on the bike at all times. Sleevless jerseys/shirts are not allowed. WARMING UP ON THE COURSE: Once the last rider has crossed the line in the current active wave, the ocials will allow riders to pre-ride the course so they can become familiar with route. Please enter the course just past the nish line and do not pass or enter in front of riders who are still racing on the course. As in the past, while pre-riding do not cross the nish line while the timing system is running and do not pass active racers on course. There will always be enough time to complete one lap before the next race starts. Once the next race has started, warming up on the course is not allowed. CATEGORIES & UPGRADES: Detailed information on categories and upgrades can be found at www.USACycling.org As a general rule, Road and MTB riders who race Cyclocross should be racing in categories as listed below. The Prestige Series will enforce automatic upgrades, and discourage sandbagging. Please upgrade when eligible. CYCLOCROSS RACING AGE: A riders racing age for the 2012-13 Cyclocross Season is the racing age theyll be the year of the CX World Championships which take place in February 2nd-3rd, 2013. Therefore, your racing age for the entire cyclocross season running September 2012 through January 2013 is based on your age as of 12/31/2013. RESULTS: Race results will be posted near the awards area following each race. Please make sure to check your results within the 15 minute posting/protest period or they will be nal.
