Answers to Press Release Questions

1. Poetry is an art that speaks to the heart like a painting. Unlike painting it is the words of a poem that insights the reader to be a part of the poem. Poetry unlike prose conveys information in just a few words. My poems are aimed at giving insights in all aspects of life and the let the reader feel and be a part of the message being conveyed.

2. Funny enough my poems in one way or the other are my favorites, but I will say that A world Beyond speaks more grace into my heart. The reasons been that my Christian life comes first in everything I do. A World Beyond constantly reminds me of my obligations as a Christian and the charge I have to keep.

3. I may not have a wide experience in poetry but short experience has so far been very inspiring and awakening. My poems always speak to me and to be able to convey the same message to my audience keeps me stuck to poetry.

4. I begun writing short stories in High school, most of which I kept in my locker. I am and have always been addicted to novels especially. My main inspiration to write comes from a feeling of fulfillment when I feel that inner calm. 5. Suprisingly enough I havent read my poetry in public except to a few friends but I enjoy the works of others- same work different angles and it all makes the view better 6. Its been a mixture of all, getting people to read my work has been quite a challenge but as time went on I was able to carve an audience for myself and the experience has been great.

7. Open Mic Voices was the exact platform i needed to grow. It didnt only give me the chance to showcase my poems but also to share and collaborate with other poets/writers. It also gave me insight from reading wide range of poems. All in all, I'd say Open Mic Voices is a site well created to lead young and upcoming poets like me on.

8. Poetry is art, Poetry is creativity, Poetry is a language; the language of the heart and should be treated with passion and zeal. The path on the journey to poetry begins with the love for it. The love for the language, the love for the message it carries, and the love for the audience!
