3 of the UGC Act 1956] Valiamala PO, Thiruvananthapuram -695 547 Requirement of Faculty- Assistant Professor Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Asias first Space University was established under the Department of Space in September 2007. IIST is presently offering 4-year B.Tech programmes in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences. M Tech, PhD and Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme have already commenced in specific areas of Space Science and Technology. IIST provides a vibrant and stimulating environment for research in almost all areas of Aerospace, Avionics, Physical Sciences and Basic Sciences. The Institute is setting up state-of-the-art facilities including high performance computing facilities to create the right research ambience. IIST will also have research collaborations and scientific exchanges with reputed national and international academic research organizations. The Institute invites application for the post of Assistant Professor in following areas: Post No Educational Qualifications Department of Mathematics APMA-01 B.Sc in Mathematics and M.Sc in Mathematics with PhD. OR B.Tech in Computer Science/Electronics and Communication Engg./Chemical Engg. with PhD. Area of Specialisation Machine Learning/ Computer Science Job Description: Candidate will have to do research and teach in the areas like Artificial Neural Networks/ Genetic Algorithm/ImageProcessing/Fuzzy Systems/ Machine learning/Softcomputing at the post graduate level. Cryptography/Computer Science Job Description: Candidate will have to do research and teach in the area of cryptography at the post graduate level.

B.Sc in Mathematics/Physics and M.Sc in Mathematics/Physics with PhD. APMA- 02 OR B.Tech in Computer Science/Electronics and Communication Engineering with PhD. Department of Earth and Space Sciences APES- 01 Masters in Remote Sensing/Electrical Engg. /Electronics Engg./Communication Engg./Computer Science with PhD.

Remote Sensing/ Image Processing/Signal Processing. (Candidates with knowledge of Microwave Remote Sensing are preferred.
However, all candidates who satisfy the qualifications mentioned alongside are encouraged to apply)

Note: Candidates with first class in Bachelors and Masters degree and Ph.D in relevant area of specialization with significant research contribution will be considered.
