Working with Masks and Channels 1.

The benefit of using a quick mask on Photoshop is that it makes life easier because it enables to change the background to black or white so one is able to see areas that need to be fixed. One can control easily the parts that need to be hidden or erased and the ones that need to be visible. Also it is easy to edit a selection. 2. When you deselect the quick mask it completely disappears therefore just when necessary you can apply it and correct any mistakes youve made that you dont see when the quick mask is deselected. 3. When you save a selection as a mask the mask ends up stored in the channels area. 4. You can edit a mask in a channel once youve saved it by selecting the channel and then editing the mask like you did in the first place and correct it. 5. Channels differ from layers in the sense that layers are specifically useful and helpful for us to concentrate on one object at a time without disturbing the other ones. Layers help you make things independent. On the other hand channels help you determine the number of colours in a image and allows you to manipulate them.
