Reading:
*Sight words: of, for, do *We will read several books about Thanksgiving and turkeys this week. We will focus on identifying the main characters, setting, problem, and solution.

Writing:
We will integrate our writing with reading this week. We will write about turkeys, our stories we read, and what we are thankful for.

Math:
This week in Math we will be learning more about length. We will be able to compare two or more objects and identify which object is longer and shorter. At home you can practice with your child by comparing two objects and identifying which object is longer.

Thanksgiving Break
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. Remember to read with your child during the week. Work on teaching your child to tie his/her shoe. See you November 26th!

Science/Social Studies:
This week we will talk about neighborhoods and different types of homes .We will also talk about the first Thanksgiving and the systems that the Pilgrims and Native Americans put into place. We will talk about the difference between needs and wants.

A.I.M.U Flag Football Game

This Friday we will have our first ever A.I.M.U. Flag Football game featuring Malvern teachers as the players. The game will take place at 2pm, and the cost is $1 for each student to attend. Money raised will support the 5th grade camp fund.
