Chelsea-Liverpool

It was arguably the biggest game of an action packed Sunday and it certainly rounded off an exciting day in the Barclays Premier League. Both sides came into the game making a couple of changes with Jamie Carragher starting for Liverpool in place of the ill Martin Skrtel, while John Terry returned from serving his suspension. The game was played at a high tempo, with Chelsea in the ascendancy in the first half going in at the break 1 nil up and probably feeling they should have been more with Mata missing a guilt edged opportunity on the stroke of half time. In the second half Brendan Rodgers made some acute tactical changes to his team switching from a 5-4-1 to a 4-4-2 which gave much more balance to his Liverpool side. Suarez equalised for Liverpool in the 74th minute and from then on there only looked to be one winner. However Chelsea were able to hang on for what turned out to be two points dropped and a good result for Liverpool. Next up for Liverpool is Wigan 3pm Saturday at Anfield and surely a game they must build on this good performance in.
